Punjab National Bank (PNB) has invited online applications to fill 545 Local Bank Officer (LBO) vacancies at Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I), state-wise across 17 states/UTs, from 20 July 2026 to 9 August 2026. Local Bank Officer is a state-specific post — candidates may apply for only one state and must be proficient in that state's designated local language. Selected candidates will be posted within the selected state for nine years of service or until promotion to SMG Scale IV, whichever is earlier. The tentative Online Test (wherever required) is scheduled for August/September 2026.

Eligibility CriteriaGraduate in any discipline from a University/Institution recognized/approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies, plus a minimum of one year's post-qualification work experience in Clerical/Officer Cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the RBI Act, 1934. Candidates must also be proficient (reading, writing and speaking) in the local language of the state applied for — an external agency conducts the Local Language Proficiency Test.
